2021.10.24 00:39 Cash-cash-ca Linux Projects?
What creative Linux projects can I run on the VCS? Never had a Linux pc before, and was afraid to dual boot on main laptop before, (Didn’t want to virus it up) Didn’t want emulators on main laptop because I didn’t want virus, but going to do some emulators on top of all the Legal Retro Gaming + Steam Box, to use VCS as emulator beater box.
What are some fun Linux stuff to load, after all the emulator stuff? (Asking for some of the Linux community for diy dummy lessons here)
0th project, add 1tb+ hard drive. Easy pc mod. (Someone had a link to a PDF)
First project, Would like to load some sort of Linux DAW, and download free VST’s without the worry of buggering up my main laptop; and test out Linux music production free stuff
Second project, Ultimate Emulator Box, which emulators to run (or emulator package) and where to get ROMs.
Third project, vcs Steam box in the living room. Never played steam. Stoked to have it in the living room . Play through legal games I missed over the years from steam.
Fourth Project, Linux community any other ideas?
Would like to see some of the university programming departments, pick up Atari boxes, and show us what we can do? Walkthroughs, hacks, tutorials, and help add some neat features directly to Atari OS, or on the Linux side what is possible. Maybe some sort of competition, projects, and/or dev some indie games on the Atari VCS?
I can google stuff as I go, but anyone with links to walk throughs, hacks, ideas and tutorials would be greatly appreciated for us diy Linux dummies out there? Thank you in advance to anyone who contributes ideas on this

2021.10.24 00:39 kingbebop15 How to enjoy playing Solo Competitive
The key is positivity. Bring people up, not down. If someone is toxic to you, don't spread it. Either ignore, or be even more positive. Try to regularly compliment teammates (and even enemies) after winning rounds or nice shots. Don't troll. Trolling is one of the greatest factors to losing games. Don't make stupid decisions. Try to win, and don't go for the style points. Trust me, this will put a smile on your face and everyone else in the match :D.

2021.10.24 00:39 davey_dms Hey everyone, I recently got given this 2nd hand G-Shock. Don't know anything about it, but gave it a good clean. Used fairly luke-warm water, a soft bristle brush & a couple sprays of bleach (not directly on the watchface). Now the face is clouded unless I use a hairdryer to blast it. Is it ruined?

2021.10.24 00:39 RhinosGoMoo Probably an easy question, but what is this device on top of my (gas) water heater?
Background: I moved in a year ago and finally getting around to taking stock of how everything in my house works. Figuring out what all is on each electrical circuit, for the purpose of making a back-up power plan for the 4500w generator I recently had a breaker put in for. The specific question that leads me here is: Do I need to have electricity in order to have hot water (beyond what is already stored in the tank)?
I think I have an idea of what the device is but want to confirm. The controller on my water heater (on/off switch, temperature dial) is electronic. I don't see anywhere to put batteries in it. No visible wire leads from the controller to the device in question on top of the tank. It says 24V on it, and the mystery device also says 24V.
The device on top is firmly secured (I believe screwed) to the tank. One end of it wraps around -- and in a way actually makes up -- the exhaust vent. It has a wire coming out of it with a long lead that eventually plugs into a power strip). I believe that what I can't see is another wire inside the outer 'shell' of the tank which connects this device to the controller, giving it power.
So bottom line, I have 2 questions. What exactly does this device do? And do I need electricity for my water heater to function?

2021.10.24 00:39 emobunnysarah2 I requested for The Light Behind Your Eyes, to be played at my school’s homecoming dance
It was, and I went up (with a friend) and sung along to it, being hella nervous, bc I don’t like singing in front of people, but after the song, and when I returned to the table, I heard that my English teacher was slow dancing with his wife during the song. That made me really happy

2021.10.24 00:39 ConradOCE Link Skill Feedback: Amazing concept, disappointing implementation (Some solution ideas included).
Personally I think link skills are some of the coolest conceptual skills ggg have come up for a long time.
Which is why it's so sad that the potential is kind of wasted due to some of it's implementation decesions namely the having to constantly recast on specefic targets, killing it's practically in many cases especially as use on minions.
To get the problem straight, its not necessarily the design decesion to make supports more active that's killing the link skills, it's the means they have chosen to enforce this philosophy. And that is the targetting of Specefic targets on a constant basis and in the heat of battle.
Having to target anything specefic during gameplay has always sucked in this game. Look at mark skills for example, in most instances of them being used they are triggered, and if their not, I would say most people will prefer to use them as little as possible despite being so powerful, because it feels shit to try and target specefic things in the heat of gameplay.
My first solution idea is to fix the problem of needing specefic targetting, but keeping design decesion to have them requiring re-activation.
2021.10.24 00:39 craychel23 How to make more progress?
So I’ve been skating pretty consistently since June, but I feel like the only things I’m truly comfortable with is skating forward (reg and bubbles) and plow stopping. I can skate backwards, and k i n d a transition between front and back skating. I feel like I’ve practice basic transitions, backwards skating, and 2-footed spins a lot, but don’t really seem to be getting any better. I’m wondering what could help me improve more? Just more practice? Other types of movement (stretching etc)? Feeling frustrated at my lack of progress even though I know that the time it takes is personal and it’s not a race.

2021.10.24 00:39 missdianabanana Family Doctor Recommendations
I’ve had bad luck with Doctors since I’ve moved here. First one miss diagnosed an infection I had so I was pretty sick for a couple of months. The Doctor I have now takes forever to get an appointment with so I end up having to see other random Doctors in the clinic (it’s also a walk-in). I want one solid Doctor, why is this so hard to find?? I had the same Doctor from the time I was born until my early 20’s and by that time he retired. He was honestly like a family member. I’m feeling pretty hopeless that I will ever find a Doctor that has good bed side manners and who takes their time to listen instead of rushing you out. However, if you have suggestions I’d love to hear them. Thanks!

2021.10.24 00:39 Atrus20 Best way to distribute Nu?
So currently I use this site to distribute Nu to my various heirlooms, but for the stats that can have infinite Nu it focuses entirely on the attack stuff (crit damage, attack, and gamma burst) and miner efficiency and pet exp.
So far I just push the other stats up so they're the highest minimum they can be (eg Farmer efficiency to 1,280%). Is this a good spot to get to, or should I spread the Nu out a bit more and whats a good method to do so?

Got hit by a car on my Motercycle May of this year. This is all new to me and I’m adjusting to the lifestyle. Would like to hear some wise words from fellow wheelie boys and girls. It’s been hard and hearing some positivity around this lifestyle would help. Sending you all love. This shit is hard but we’re harder 💪🏽
